14 January 2008 - Gardening Thoughts

Well, we are almost at the middle of January 2008 and it is time to begin thinking about the garden plan for this spring and summer. Last year we started late but were blessed with a huge crop of tomatoes, peppers, corn, watermelon and potatoes - white and sweet. The onions and garlic were very prolific. Then there were the mulberries, cherries and apples but that is another blog. So I canned and froze produce until I couldn't see straight. Most of that was new for me so I learned much and I hope to share those experiences this month. I plan to post recipes, hints, gardening ideas and get some good information in return from readers. As I get the seeds planted, there will be photos and a pdf of my gardening journal. More to come 16 January 2008.
